A quick review

I went to gawk at a TTS my P Dealer just got in. White just like yours. Beautiful car. It had sold the day it hit the dealer and was waiting on the new owner.
My GT Silver TTS hit he port yesterday and may be at the dealership as early as tomorrow. I'll pick it up as soon as they get the film applied to the front. This is gonna be one big check to write.
Still debating on whether to get the big tamale escort 9500 Radar Detector/Laser Shifter installed at the Dealer, or do a mirror mount with detector only.

I stopped by today too and drooled over the TTS in the showroom. Can't wait to get the call that mine has arrived -- GT Silver with Espresso interior. The photos I've been looking at since my order was placed don't seem to do the car justice. The wheels are absolutely beautiful.

I do have those mirrors and the buffeting is less noticeable on the street not the track. I could never roll my window down in the C4S at highway speeds without cracking the passenger side open. Much better in the TTS.
I do not miss the C4S a bit (exhaust excluded). There is clear Turbo lag if you are in lower RPM in higher gears. I have the Turbo boost meter on the display and if I am in, for example, fourth gear at 2,000 RPM and floor it, you see the boost go up, not much accelerations then BAM! On the track, no lag and it seemed like the turbos where always spooled up. Not sure why is it softer, perhaps tuned that way intentionally?

roll bars stay connected all the time, needed or not. I noticed the same thing in my C2S with PDCC. Lovely! Can't wait to read your summary of your 2nd Track outing today. BTW, do you have the usual Centerlock Turbo S wheels? Over the last few days, several dealers in NY & FL have been getting Turbo S 's with
5 Lug wheels which surprised them. I suspect it was CL problems which have
held up the GT3 shipments.

Congrats!!! And many thanks for the Track info. That is exactly what I was looking for. The "Softer" suspension is caused by the PDCC option which disconnects the roil bars when not turning and unneeded but reacts in Milliseconds to tighten them as needed around turns. Without PDCC. the

I have CL. They got two launch cars, one with CL and one with 5 lugs. I hope they don't fail on me. See my post above with my lap times at Cresson MSR going CCW, 1;20:19 This is insane as my best track time there in the C4S (street tires) was 1;23;00 (which was faster than all cars on street tires (GTR included) and a hair faster than 997 GT3 on R's or at least the ones I checked with. For reference, that track's record for a 997 cup car on full racing slicks is 1:12:xx I'm still adjusting my breaking points, so my goal is to crack into the teens before long, as I know she can do it. This car is shockingly awesome.

Damn, Sam you're going to make the wait to hit the track w/ the TT even harder than waiting to get the TT in the first place!
I had PDCC on my 991 C4S which I tracked and daily drove (17,000 miles, of which about 4,000 on track over 30 + track days) before I traded it in and the ride on the road was firmer, even my wife noticed it. I don't notice a difference on track so perhaps they let the roll bars loosen up more on road in the TTS?

I spent some time on GT3 forums and some guys are getting depressed because the Turbo is so good. And They should! All season, 4 seats, hypersonic GT car that beats the "track oriented" car? The new turbo can do that!
I keep dreaming that Porsche would make a TurboRS with 600+hp, lightweight (no back seat and lightweight everything that makes sense), R compound tires, real aero that makes great downforce and some agressive suspension settings. That would be an amazing car. Think of it as an AWD GT2RS.
The new Turbo rocks, that's for sure!

Sam, Congratulations! After seeing a new Turbo S being moved around in a midtown garage Friday, I was floored. When I went in to a dealer yesterday to place an order for a new C4S, I was told they had received one launch TTS and it was available! After a test drive (mostly in I-95 traffic, I added 7 miles to the 15 already on the car) I purchased it on the spot. They are changing the the steering wheel to Sport from Multi-function this week and I get it next Saturday, hopefully. It has the 5-lug Turbo wheels, as you noted. After reading your notes I may inquire whether the retractable mirrors can be changed to the sport mirrors. Look forward to seeing pictures of your car!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Your story confirms what I believed for years and that is, if Porsche wanted to, they could seriously hurt the GT3 aura by just giving the turbo better tires. With a set of sticky SportCup, who knows how much faster the Turbo would be around a track? Also, I believe that Porsche leaves a lot of power potential on the table with the turbo while pushing the engine in the GT3 to its stratospheric limit.

Congrats man. This is indeed a love from first drive car. I drove mine for less than a 1/2 mile before I made the decision. Here are a few pics, note I already have about 1,000 miles. Also note the booster seat in the back! I removed the bling on the back and made it very subtle.
