Today I was offered a spot for a Turbo and took the plunge. I was after a GT3, but heck I was number 4 and I did not like the idea of being in the limbo as far as a delivery date.

In any case when I bought my 991S said I would upgrade to a TURBO so thats whats going to happen.

I drove a 997 TURBO S on track in exotics racing earlier this year and off course the acceleration is brutal, but it pushed so bad I was disappointed. I did very shortly track my 991 S only for a few laps (really) and the handling is superb.

I will be getting PDCC as I have in my 991S since it keeps the car planted on the track nicely. I read somewhere here that the assumption is that understeer will be a thing of the past with the 991 TURBO. Lets hope it is.

In any case not very worried since I do have a dedicated 996 track car and tracking the turbo is just not why its being purchased. Will I track it shortly like I did my 991S....probably just to scare me to death only.

I've read many opinions on the looks of the new turbo and there seems to be quite a few people that dont like it. I personally think it looks bad *** and pretty sure that in person its going to impress even further.

My build is red with black interior. deviated red stitching and carbon trim.

Ok there it is.......

Congratulations on the new Turbo purchase. It looks like it will be a great car. I loved the PDCC on my C2S
and it made a huge difference on the track, both in handling and greatly extended tire life. I understand all the 991 lap records were made with PDCC equipped cars by Porsche. You can see the huge strides that the 991 PDCC has made over the 997 Chassis here:

Congrats, I can't wait to see how well the 991TT handles the track w/ PDCC/RWS/AWD compared w/ my 991S!

I think the GT3 is a great car. If you are looking for a street car and I can't see why you wouldn't do the turbo instead.
