tune with map change?
Hi
I want to go either catless or 100 cat so i imagine i need a tune.
Im not so sure about adding power. It would be too much for the streets and i wont be able to push the car much before slowing down.
What are the best tunes and is there a tune i can easily change maps? I wanna keep it stock map most of the time but no engine check for the pipes.
THansks

You are probably tired of hearing it but Cobb is a very flexible tuning option and working with Sam will be a real pleasurable experience. You can tune/adjust even your PDK daily if you want with Cobb. Also if you work with Sam he can custom tune from a distance by you sending him data logs of runs long like he did for me. Actually a lot of fun.
As far as the comment about too much power. You can choose your tune in Stages. Stage 2 includes a performance tune along with exhaust. Tuning does more than just add power it also enhances response and shift points so don’t think a Stage 2 is not daily drivable as it very much is and almost unnoticeable to OEM until you mash the pedal.
And just going careless or to 100 cell cats won’t change the dynamics of the car much just make it louder.

The 991.2s might be a little more finicky.
As for a tune being too much, if you just do a 93 octane tune and exhaust you will be fine.
My 991.1 Turbo S with 3" x-pipe, 100 cel cats, BMC filter and a dyno-tune makes 543whp and it cuts 1.61 60' times, 0-60 in 2.61, and runs the 1/8th at 6.82@102.89 in 37 degree weather on unprepped streets on Continental DWS06+ all-season radials with a 560 treadwear rating.
A 991.2 with the same set-up would be faster, but still fine with a 93 octane tune.
Add meth injection and you will be getting 80-100whp more and that might make traction a lot tougher.

Do you NEED to go 100cell if you're not adding much power? My humble $0.02: 200 cell still sounds epic, absolutely won't throw any codes, and is a bit less disastrous for the environment. I've had 200 cell cats on both my Turbo and my McLaren and both setups were perfect.
