Comfort Windows?
Has anyone programmed for Comfort Windows, that is, windows go down with a long press of the unlock button? I did it on my 997GTS, but don't see the coding note in my Durametric on the 991. I did reset the service reminder.

Just a thought ...
To enable, you need to change coding under alarm and set comfort function window to active as well as comfort function remote to active.
Under left door & right door you must set the comfort closing and comfort opening to OFF - or inactive.

I'll try again today with the Durametric, which I used successfully on the 997GTS. Don't know about any other reader.

Slightly off topic but for Cabrio owners... this can be done with the SmarTop module. You can lower the top and the windows with a double click of the unlock. Process can also be done in reverse (top up/windows up). Completely configurable. No reader necessary.

Durametric response to my inquiry:
Thank you for contacting Durametric. The alarm unit on the 991 range of models is not supported by Durametric. In any case, Durametric does not support coding options at all on the 991.

So my question to those who know more, what tool would be suggested for coding things like comfort windows and lights?

The 991 (non-turbo) and 718 guys are doing it with THINKDIAG available on Amazon or direct from the mfgr. Go over to the 991 Forum and find "Thinkdig Magic". They are doing a whole bunch of re-programing. Windows up/down with the fob, increased blink from 3 to 5 for turn signals, interior gauge lights on all the time etc.

I had this module in my 997 Turbo Cab and it was great. I need to install one in the 991.

Using the Thinkdiag, I just coded Comfort Windows on my TTS. I posted on the 991 forum some differences I encountered from the posted instructions for this.

To program without using a scan tool, run the window all the way up and then press the window switch 3 times to the second click position. Then run it all the way down and click three times to the second position. You can feel the switch click in two positions. This worked on my 991.1 but not sure of other models.
