Battery Tender Q
Does anyone have experience using the Porsche (955-044-900-54) trickle charger on a 991 with an AGM battery? I am wondering if I will ruin my battery by using this charger because it says its for lead batteries. Does that still apply if this connects via cigarette lighter?
I usualy use a Noco Genius10 (which has an AGM mode) but I am tired of hooking it directly to the battery because it requires the frunk to stay open and the removal of the plastic piece that covers the battery.
Has anyone had any long term issues with the Porsche charger (955-044-900-54)?

An AGM battery is a lead acid battery.
The voltage difference is due to the lead alloy used.
AGM batteries need a higher float voltage.
Just make sure your Porsche (made by C-TEK) battery maintainer is set for AGM battery tending.

Use a CTEK charger on Snowflake setting for AGM batteries.

That's the issue. My noco has the agm mode but this ctek/porsche tender doesn't. It might be too old or something.
