Default First P-Car - Very impressed

Just traded in a 600LT for a 991.2 Turbo S. Completely different ends of the supercar spectrum. So far I am incredibly impressed with the car and quite happy with my decision to make the leap. Looking forward to providing snarky replies to threads in this sub whenever I have time

Wow, from 600LT to 991.2 turbo S. Interesting! I have a 991.1 Turbo S and I'm looking to get a 570S as well. Any reasons why you made that trade?

Congrats BTW!

You have to give us some notes on the differences....my wife almost talked me into a 720S instead of the 2019 TTS. I was getting weak because the 720S from a roll is killer fast. But the reliability factor just killed it. Plus, the comfort factor....I wanted a true GT. Then I ran the TTS and it went 10.4 at 131mph pure stock and knew I made the correct decision. Plus, it is soooo comfortable .

I realized after about 6 months that I wasn't driving the car all that often. Some reasons for the switch that come to mind... 1) turns out it's not really fun to daily drive a "race car" on the street. 2) rattles everywhere... i hate rattles 3) my wife really didn't enjoy going for drives as she was too small for the "Senna" seats. 4) the attention (at least in the greater Boulder/Denver area) was a little too intense. tons of people just trying to get close to the car on the roads gets annoying

The things I loved about the car: 1) absolute freakin monster on the track - so much fun 2) transmission was unbelievable 3) looks - sexiest car on the road 4) engine noise

0 regrets making the switch.

Yes, I couldn't imagine that too comfortable as a daily. Oh no, I'd kill myself because of rattles inside the car.
0 regrets with all those things to love. I guess the Porsche as more things to win you over in the total package!

Admittedly, I have been looking at a mid engined car but came to the conclusion that it wasn't as practical for road trips (not really a track guy, but hate aeroplanes...) as the 911 is. Plus, I absolutely agree with your comments on rattles - that would drive me insane. I had an intermittent squeak coming from somewhere on the right rear of my 996tt and I ended up replacing everything in order to kill it.

And welcome!

I'll save that for 6 months from now when i'm itching to add something to the car... looks like a solid product! How is in the install? I have done a couple of these piggy backs on my Audis and BMWs and it's always a huge PITA to get all the connectors in the engine bay.

Let me know whenever you're ready and I'll get you setup for a special RL member discount

Not hard at all! It's only 3 connectors in total. One goes to the OBD2 (for full CANbus logging, tuning, and data. We're not like other basic piggybacks that only uses boost for tuning) One connector goes to the Y pipe, the other goes onto the intake manifold (this one is the only tough one).

Personally it took me about 30 minutes to install mine, I didn't take my wing off or anything. The install instructions I made is a bit more in depth, but you it's not needed to remove all the stuff I did for the install.
