Modesta vs Ceramic Pro Help Please
I am prepping my car for the move to Florida. I've got Plycar booked with enclosed trailer.
I am now thinking I'm going to do a full detail before moving. Remove the PPF, full paint correction, and ceramic finish. I have had both Xpel ultimate and Suntek Ultra and like both with no clear preference with slight clarity going to Suntek. The dilemma I need help with is the ceramic choice.
I have 2 great detailers I trust for the paint correction, film and finish. Both shops do very high end cars much more expensive than mine. One uses Ceramic Pro exclusively and the other uses Modesta exclusively. I have no experience with either as I used a lite ceramic I did myself from Gyeon previously.
Both sound like good products with Modesta getting the nod for gloss. Looking for guidance from personal experience and any intimate details you can share as I know in the case of Modesta there are several different types of finishes.
Any real life experiences would be really be appreciated.

I’ve used Mother’s CMX on two cats now. Easy to self apply. Works very well.

Familar and applied Modesta, and only familiar with CP.
modesta is one of the original and top-shelf coatings from Japan. It’s performance and quality of installers is very good as the company is very selective on whom they add to their netwrok.
CP is a very popular coating and does a great job as well. Fantastic marketing and awareness in marketplace. Installer network isn’t exclusive and you tend to have many skill-levels if installers.
in the end, find out more about the installer than the coating. Ultimately, that’s what you’re buying into.
Have you visited both shops? One of them should resonate more than the other and that would be the best choice for you.
We use CQuartz exclusively and you can find a local installer near you if you visit:

Moe thanks for the input. Yes I have a fair amount of experience with one of the installers. They did Xpel applications on 2 of my Pcars. Nice team very talented and responsive to any issues. They are exclusively Ceramic Pro shop. They do high end Pcars, McLarens, F cars, Maserati's, and others. The second installer is local , does a lot of work and has Modesta but I am more suspicious of their rep.
Seems like a clear choice just trying to get comfortable that Ceramic Pro best quality will check the box.

Wow I feel so much better now. Did it really seem to you that I am full of anxiety over this? I'm retiring in a few years my anxiety is in check.
My feeling is if you are going to pay over $4k for a service it should be done well with the best materials possible. Agreed?

I would go with Modesta. I agree with everything that Moe said, but Ceramic Pro seems to be more about the marketing, whereas Modesta seems to be more about the product quality and installers. Most of the ceramic coatings are really good so just find the best installer that you can.

You can always do the C Quartz UK yourself. I did a few cars and they turned out great. You can get everything from Cory at Sky's The Limit. Should be easy after you get the correction and film done.

I had CQuartz Pro on my last car and have Ceramic Pro Gold on my 2019 TTS. The CQuartz Pro finish lasted less than 2 years on our Audi S6, and I've had Ceramic Pro only for 9 months now. The Ceramic Pro Gold (5 coats) has a lifetime warranty that requires yearly inspections by a certified CP installer. So far it looks great.
