I tend to agree. One of the most exclusive cars Porsche has ever made is likely to appreciate over time. Who thought basic 993 would start to go up in value like they have, but they did, and these will be extremely rare.

Other than the color I don’t see much difference to a regular one. I think the turbo s is overpriced. This is risible. JMO - ymmv.

You think the Turbo S is overpriced in comparison to cars of equal performance?
And these cars can be driven daily?
And in most cases you are just out $400 oil change in annual service?
So what's a better deal?
The Exclusive car has a bump in hp via a power kit, I think some beautiful details including the wheels and CF trim. I guess it's just not the car for you.

For $30,000 it would be a nice upgrade to the base Turbo S. But for $66,000 over the base, it's overpriced. The CF wheels are a $15000 option on both the 2019 Turbo S and the Exclusive model.

The comment was made the Turbo S is overpriced. My response was mostly to that.
But when 500 cars of an exclusive series is launched with the bits and bling it has and the already high price of the series I don't think it's that unexpected. I won't be buying one but I do like it.

For it to have any chance at appreciation, you have to take a long view 5-10 years at minimum, and also plan to drive it very little. Both of those conditions are anathema to my buying consideration of a Porsche TTS...

I'd rather have this 991 TTS E than the 991 GT2 RS

It’s not good for a car to sit. I would imagine 3000 miles a year at least. I would think a GT2 would be the best shot at appreciation.

Certainly more comfortable with those seats - but I would rather have the GT2RS myself.

I'm with you. I definitely do NOT agree that the regular Turbo S is over priced. The car is truly amazing and i cant think of any other car at $200K (or even at $150K) that i would rather have for the TTs intended use.

The Exclusive is a great car. Its got a little more power (over 600HP) and some beautiful touches, special leather etc.. And it is Exclusive (read - not common). I would take it in a heart beat but i would drive it and not worry about value or appreciation (if i were in a position to do so). You may not like the gold color - but i think it looks great in person. I would personally opt for black or Agate..

Th GT2RS is a completely different beast. Much more track/ canyon/ out and out performance oriented. Different horse for different purposes..

Obviously I agree. If I were lucky enough to afford it I would have one and I would be driving not storing for someone else to drive.

Are you referring to the increase in value over MSRP or market value generally? The few Exclusives I have seen on dealership floors are asking for a $100k markup OVER msrp, so if you bought one at MSRP and wanted to flip it, you could probably make a little profit in the tens of thousands.

In 10 years, a shrink-wrapped Exclusive stored in a climate-controlled garage with, say, under 10 delivery miles may fetch a premium at auction, but we won't really know for sure until then.

How much are the 997.2 TTS 918 Spyder editions going for? I'm aware they aren't numbered but there were even fewer of those produced.

IMHO, a very beautiful car which is likely to appreciate in value, based mainly on its scarcity and very limited production.
Personally, with its numerous bespoke body and trim components in custom colors and limited production of spares which
would undoubtedly be enormously expensive with long replacement times, I'd be too apprehensive of driving it in local traffic
and parking it unsupervised to fully enjoy it.

Just look at the 997 Sport Classic. Selling for crazy money today. These will follow suit.
