Default Driver side window catching

I did a quick search without finding much on this problem.

Over the past few months I have noticed that I have to push the driver side door harder to open. Initially, I thought it was just the rubber seals being a little sticky from it being garaged most of the Winter; however, I found that when I pulled the door handle, the glass actually is touching the back side glass at the very top tip. The automatic window movement with opening and closing the door is functioning normally. After the door is fully closed, the glass seats itself with perfect alignment. No problems with the passenger side window.

Just wondering if anybody else has seen this problem.

The car is still under CPO warranty and hopefully it can be fixed/adjusted, but wanted to run it by the brain trust first.

Thank you.

Had the same issue. The dealer adjusted the window and haven't had an issue since. Apparently it is a pretty easy fix.

What about resetting the window yourself. Maybe that will do it.

Thanks for the responses, I need to setup an appointment with the dealership.

Neil, How do reset the windows yourself?

Reset...hold the button to open the window until the window is fully open...hold it for 10 seconds in this position..repeat this with the window all the way up. Hold down (keep finger on button) and let it go dowan all the way and IMMEDIATELY (almost one complete motion) hold up and let it go up all the way..

Unfortunately the reset didn't correct the window problem.

I was able to get the car to service this morning, and the service adviser said that it was an uncommon but known issue. The tech had to pop the door panel off to adjust the window slightly.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Not that uncommon, I had the same issue - dealer fixed it under CPO for me as well. Just adding my comment for documentation; dealer claims that they would fix it even if the glass had shattered as they would have seen the wear on the rear glass . . . I'm not so sure of that.

Looks like I have the same issue on my passenger side. Has anyone attempted to DIY?

While I am still under warranty, I rather not deal with the hassle of going in, etc. so I will probably fix it this weekend.

thanks in advance
