Default Knocking Noise from Back of 911 ,991 Turbo S 2015, 8,500 mile,

Whenever the car turns left or right right you can clearly hear a knocking sound (the car is driving at low speed) coming out of the right rear suspension. I looked under the car and nothing looks loose or out of place on either side. Please note that the car does have rear-axle steering.

You sure it's not coming from the front? Is is when you fully have the wheel turned in either direction i.e. lock to lock These cars are known for that to happen

I had a similar noise on delivery of my car. It spent the next week at the dealership before they removed the rear bumper cover and found one of the mounting brackets was cracked. Noise resolved after that was replaced.

Is this only when the car is turning at low speeds? I too have a knocking noise from the back end over bumps at low speed, like a loose panel or something inside the bodywork. The Porsche tech couldn't claim to hear it but it's there, over certain bumps.

Sorry for the late follow up, I was out of the country. Thank you , the car was not lowered but make senses what you said! Why?

i do many launch control and when you take the car from ZERO TO 60 in 2.7 seconds, the back suspensions go all way Dow and May take sometimes to go back to the normal position of the PDDC , PORSCHE DYNAMICS CHASSIS CONTROL do not reset or hold the suspension on a position that when we pass over any road undulation make the crazy noise that we can hear very load.

in my case, the noise , I no longer hear and I did nothing to fix.

I do do not know, I am just an engineer and what I am explain above “ was only a think, I do not know 100%

thank you to offer me some help

Correct! I have the 911. 2015 turbo S, 991 and happening the same way you explaining. I believe in my case that I do many launch control and when you take the car from ZERO TO 60 in 2.7 seconds, the back suspensions go all way Dow and May take sometimes to go back to the normal position of the PDDC , PORSCHE DYNAMICS CHASSIS CONTROL do not reset or hold the suspension on the lower position that when we pass over any road or undulation make the crazy noise that we can hear very load.
in my case, the noise , Is no longer there and I can not hear anymore and I did nothing to fix. I do not know, I am just an engineer and what I am explain above “ was only a think, I do not know 100%

local Porsche dealer has no idea or suggestion.

I have not launched my car {2017 TT.}
The noise is only slow parking speed maneuvers..My car was lowered on H&R springs.
Champion hears it and has gone through the rear suspension from the bottom and found nothing loose.
They now want check the top shock towers which must get to from rear interior to get at it.
I will report what they find.

Between top of front shock and tower is where I had it. Tightened nut and lock-tited, fine so far. Have non stock Tarett parts there, camber plate and associated.
