Red seats in 15 TTS???
I'm looking at a car that is not only a pretty good deal, but at my dealer!! But.....Carrera red seats - I don't hate them, but my wife is not a fan. That said, it seems to be in a lot of the black, silver and white cars that are on the market. The question is whether or not this is a problem for resale down the road or is this a popular interior color option for these cars which will be a positive option on resale? Also noticed many cars call it Garnet red, but this one is Carrera red - does that change your opinion? Thanks

It is two-tone. What it isn't is a 15 - it's a 14 - not sure how I misremembered that. Maybe they called it Carrera in 14 and Garnet in 15??? Thanks for the vin lookup link.

You either like it or you don’t. With the black dash there’s no glare.

I think that color combination is an easy sell and may command a premium. You never see cars with that color scheme sitting on lots for long.
A 17 Silver/Red was at my local dealer, listed on Sunday. By the time I went to see it on Friday it was sold. My current car has the same interior, and I had to submit my order sight unseen before the car was even in the dealer's possession. The owner had done a trade-in deal and the dealer called me about it. I pulled trigger before they had it and put down a deposit.
Then when I sent the inspector over for a PPI he told me that the other sales people were annoyed about it being sold pre-inventory because they also had interested buyers.

I always wanted a silver car with a red leather interior. It's a classic combination. I searched around from dealership to dealership until I found this 2015 Turbo in GT Silver with Black/Garnet red leather. I love it!

I have had red leather interior in 2 cars. One black and one white. Loved them both. The only red interiors I have seen that give me pause are when the ENTIRE interior is the same color. Porsche seems to be the only car maker that offers that.
The 2-tone with black dash is a must.

Thanks for the replies. I talked my wife into meeting me to see it in person.
She’ll be driving it 25% of the time, so I want to make sure she doesn’t absolutely hate it. And then, if l’m able to talk her into it, if she grew tired of it, I wouldn’t be stuck with a color that 75% of buyers would reject.

Interesting that we haven’t seen a “I hate red” post. Teh interwebs must be broken today.

Interesting. I was never a big fan of a red interior and then purchased a Macan with Black/Bordeaux red and fell in love with it. When I went from a 997.2TT to my 991.2TTS I went looking for the same combination and purchased. I couldn't be happier but can't comment about what it does to resale. I do have a lot of carbon and it is amazing because a line of carbon running horizontally left-right along the headlight switch to cup-holders seems to make a difference (at least to me) in aesthetics. Seems a very subjective thing.
Best,

When I first went to see my car I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew the car had a black/Garnet red Interior, but I wasn’t sure if I would like it. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it. Now I think it looks really sharp especially with the red contrasted stitching. I can tell you this, everyone who sees the car likes it the interior. Let your wife sit in and drive it for a half hour and she will really like the way it looks. If you want to tone it down a little and make sure it has black floor mats.
I do agree with the poster above. I am not sure I would want red on the dash as it creates glare. The two tone is ideal.

Thanks, the clear tail lights were a big deal for me as well. I changed out the front amber reflectors with clear ones and these rear red reflectors with GT silver inserts. I'm really torn as far as what to do with this car now that it's 4 years old. I was thinking of trading it in for a 991.2 Turbo S, but now I think I might keep it and wait and buy a 992 Turbo S coupe as a stablemate. Although it feels a bit weird to have several hundred thousand dollars tied up in rapidly depreciating motor vehicles.
