I think by the end of the week...unfortunately the new Magnesium wheels wont be here for another two weeks though, and they will have the R888Rs on them for grip and hooking up...so well have to make due with the Sport Cup 2s on there until then...Gunna be fun no matter what though I think...pretty stoked to mash that peddle and hear and feel it roar.
Patrick at LiteSpeedRacing did me a solid though and worked very closely with his powder coat guy to get the exact wheel color I want....even had the guy do a test piece. Apparently a lot of colors wont stick to Magnesium Alloys...but they found a two step process to get me the brushed candy red look that I wanted.
stuck with the red again for the wheels...cause when Im done with all the flash of the SkyFall Blue wrap Im probably gunna go with the classic super high gloss piano black...the red wheels will look nice on a black car, and still signal that its a bit more than stock underneath
Also got the bigger RS side air inlets and the 911 R side stripe kit in black with red Porsche lettering.
For now staying true to the SuperMan Car aesthetic that my 7 year old is in love with...albeit an angry Superman hahaha

So. Much. Want.

You know, I am a lover of beautifully engineered and fabricated components - the welds, along with the fit and finish of the above is really top notch. The clamps and fasteners are also nicely made. As you approach 1000hp, why didn't you ceramic coat the exhaust components? The heat coming of that under load should be just short of nuclear.

funny, I always ceramic coated the headers on the super charged vettes I did before..didnt even think about it here

It is most certainly useful in managing both heat soak and exhaust velocity - probably less so on velocity with that much power...
I am building (resto-modding) a 996tt which had a full ceramic exhaust - headers, cats, 3.0" pipe - worked very well, and was quite loud. I have added a ti muffler section in an effort to keep the local Boys in Blue happy, but I am considering the Kline Inconel headers for it, which I will coat.

Will ask him about it though, maybe something to do on the next stage of the build.

As far as fit and finish...all the little components nobody thinks about, I swear I think Sam spends all day everyday sourcing bits and pieces and when he finds the best possible component he then calls the manufacturer and gets them to custom tweek it even more to get it more perfecter lol...the guy is obsessed with every imaginable detail of every little component...love it.
I saw some pics where he had one of the shop guys POLISHING a bracket they had to fab that will never be seen by anybody because of its location
