What did you do to your 991 turbo today?

Took delivery of my updated car and verified a key spatial postulate: the 2016 911TS can in fact safely (for occupants, 6'0 driver, and car) transport a 14yo canary dog and infant apace. Turns out Porsche made their own kid seats for these (my shop was able to locate a new one still sitting in a dealer's inventory) which leave enough room up front for a sort of secured nest to be constructed using a comical assortment of pet store inventory. Seat belt runs right through the harness when moving in case something goes severely awry while braking/accel are handled by the cushioning/dash/seat. Hard right turns aren't ideal (still working that out) but he wags taking lefts and running up the tach

also some small stuff:
- New PDK
- Wavetrac factory reman/update to secure fitment into the housing/stubs (hence new PDK)
- Motec conversion from Cyvecs with an excellent base map set from which i bloody well intend to build one smooth as factory function
- Got couple hundred miles of grunt with E85 in it (not sold where i live). Not my first seriously fast car, but sure as hell feels like my fastest.

LOVE north Dakota though - I was particularly impressed by how clean Fargo was.

Shades of Stuttgart last Sunday, left the 991 at home, took the 996... Good times, good rides....

My 991 Turbo has been out of rotation for a bit... Needed plugs, coils, and a few other things taken care of, doing it myself, and I'd been procrastinating finishing it up. But as of this evening, it's alive!
The only good thing about having a car like the 991 Turbo down for a wile is you sometimes forget how awesome they are! Short rip in it tonight, big drive planned for tomorrow.
It's a bit of a PITA do do plugs in these cars... Absolutely nothing difficult, just a bunch of disassembly to get to the plugs and reassembly to finish it up. Nearly identical to doing plugs in a 996 or 997 Turbo if you've ever done one of those.

Burning Brakes
It took me the better part of a day to do the plugs on my 996TT. I can have the plugs out and changed of my dc2 integra in 5 minutes if I hustle.

New PPF and ceramic coat
Had the PPF replaced on my Turbo S. I've had the car 7 years and the PO had the PPF installed. Had the shop install two stripes in mat clear over the entire top of the car. I'm very pleased with the outcome, as it's subtle and not overpowering. The also ceramic coated the car and the wheels. Now it just glows!
