Applied License Plate Wrap to my 991TTS
In CA there's a company that apparently makes legal vinyl wrap versions of your plate, they even work with the DMV so you get a letter from them telling LEO it's ok. Since I have adaptive cruise and parking sensors, this was the best option for me. The device on the bottom of the 'plate' is a Nonda ZUS backup camera that I taped on with 3M VHB tape. I like that it's wireless, displays on my smart phone, and batteries are easily rechargeable AAs that seem to last a long time. It also has a mode to disable the mirrored view so you can use it in front to avoid unfortunate curb incidents.

Great idea for those that must have a front plate and way better than drilling holes. Can you post a link to the company that makes them?

This is awesome. Do they communicate with other states' DMV? I would love this here in NY.

Great stuff! I will order one. A few years ago i tried to get a replica plate for one of my 914s, and the state had shut down all producers of them. Amazed that they have approved this.

Much better than an ugly front metal license plate!
I am slightly concerned about their statement “we highly recommend that LPW be installed only to vehicles that have original factory paint job or high quality paint. LPW will not be liable for damages to your vehicle in the event LPW is removed”

When I was applying it over PPF I kept removing and reapplying it and it was fine. I imagine with a heat gun removal is fine. What I should have done instead was apply like vinyl, use soapy water to create a film that I can slide the vinyl on and use to smooth out bubbles. It's literally a giant bumper sticker.
