It is a bit big, but it is not that that is a bother. It is the pain in the *** of hearing all the time. Even my built in unit seems much better. I will likely return it and wait to see how it plays out. I hear Valentine may have a new detector coming as well.

Do you have it configured (properly) ?...just asking as if you have enabled "quiet ride" ...also set advanced settings properly and run in "advanced" mode in the city...you can even dial down K band sensitivity....I just configured mine and ran it today and it is quite quiet...I set "quiet ride" to 80 kmph..about 50 mph which mutes any/all alerts UNDER that speed

I tried mine out earlier today with stock settings in City mode. There were more K band alerts than I'd hoped for. It wasn't terrible, but it was relatively chatty in comparison to the Max360 on AutoNox I'm used to. It should only get better with firmware updates and custom settings though. For now it's looking like I will still use the Max360 for commuting or routine driving and use the R7 for highway or spirited driving when I want the extra range. That could change though once the R7 gets auto-GPS lockouts and has the benefit of some more firmware development time. Going to install the new firmware now.

My thinking is this one gets returned and we will see how it pans out. I can always rebuy it later after this all gets sorted.

Junk. Totally outdated product from a company that hasn't innovated since their first product.

Saved by the R7 on the way to the track!
ASO still using K-band here.
Buddy in front of me running the R7. I had my valentine one with K band turned off.

I have R7, just not installed.
I’ll switch over to R7 in the near future.

Agreed, I was a big V1 guy as well. Max 360 is just on another level IMO.

The new one by radenzo will/should render all the others obsolete if it works as they say.

Well, they are considerably cheaper than what was spent on a built in Escort laser jammer deluxe and my Escort Max...
