Congrats! I have a near-identical 2014 TTS cab with 30k miles. No major issues so far other than the parking sensors occasionally malfunctioning.

Thats good to know! The warranty is a nice piece of mind and naturally being we bought it, the car will likely be problem free

Hoping to get it out on the road soon! Take care and enjoy your TTS!

Finally moving up to a 991 hopefully this week! We are going to check out a 2015 911 Turbo S convertible with 16k miles and one owner (clean carfax). The dealer is offering a 5 year full coverage warranty ($100 deductible I think) on the car for $4200. The car itself has about 2-3 months left on the factory warranty which is comforting. Normally we are the type to pass on these things but I wanted to gauge everyone's feedback. Normally we have had good luck with our Porsches. We will be hopefully trading in our 2011 Turbo S convertible that has 35k on it and has been flawless. Plan to put about 3k miles on it each year (summer, weekend toy). The other nice thing is that most convertibles cannot be tracked, ruling out the idea that the car has been abused.

Thoughts? We are scheduled to head out tomorrow to look at it.
Thank you!
Brandon
Congrats. Just did this exact same trade. 2011 black on black TTSCab to 2015 same.

Here was my list of improvements as I was thinking it through.

Faster 3.1 to 2.6
Comfortable
Stable Longer wheel base
PDCC
Better PDK
Reversing camera + sensors
Burmester
Entry and drive
rear wheel steering
Led headlights pdls+
4 point DRL
Better roof/magnesium
automatic wind screen
PTV+ (vs PTV)
Front Spoiler expand
18 way seats

Phenomenal car. How about yours?

Good evening! That’s funny, you also have good taste.
I couldn’t agree more with the items you mentioned. The comfort and interior improvements were very important to us. The better performance and tech goodies was an added bonus! I’m jealous you got the Burmeister, it’s the one option mine didn’t have. Overall, I love it. It’s all detailed and waiting for cleaner roads here in WI. If you don’t mind sharing, what did you get yours for? (You can PM if you rather)

Will PM. Burmester was a good surprise.

You'll enjoy this story. The old car (@911weapon on insta) went back to the dealer as a trade in when he sold me the new car and was in the showroom. I get a phone call a few days later and the GM says "you won't believe this". Turns out the new car and the old car had the same first original owner which is why the two cars were speced identically. The guy has seen the old car in the showroom and mentioned it to the GM who hadn't put it together until then. Supposedly the guy put a deposit on a 992 turbo so I guess I know what my next car is in a few years

Black on black is a sleeper understated setup for such a beast.

Now that’s a cool, story! Wow! The dealer should connect you two so you can plan for the next sale

i agree, the black on black looks really sharp in the cabrio. It’s a heck of a car for the money! We are all pretty lucky to own these nice vehicles.

Congrats on the purchase. They do look nice in black. Might I suggest getting the whole car covered in ppf after a good detail to protect it from chips and swirls. Good luck with the car.

Good suggestion. We did a paint correct, front only ppf and whole car ceramic coating including wheels and calipers at Darien detail in CT. Very much needed on black cars

Great. What brand of ceramic coating? Is it very effective on the wheels?

Cquartz. Xpel for ppf. On tts less brake dust but still wheels get dirty and ceramic applied well can really help routine washing.
