Here are some of the longer threads from a year ago. Build vids are fun to watch.

Dave,

Thanks for re-posting the old threads and putting so much information back into this conversation.

As you know I am a total Exclusive fan... Given the attention to detail these cars are manufactured with, the value is absolutely there. The improvement is immediate and apparent when you open the door and the closer you look the better it gets. Before Exclusive was the "Special Wishes" department where custom, highly optioned cars were built. The reason Porsche is able to build these cars is the premium they get for the cars. Exclusive is a highly profitable enterprise for Porsche.

Producing 500 of this 911 TTS model is an extraordinary feat! Normally. there are only a handful of "Exclusive" cars produced for each model. Clearly Porsche has upped its game in terms of space and capacity. Most do not know that the old exclusive department was located in Zuffenhausen where the new Mission E or Taycan is being built. It was a relatively small and intensely crowded workspace. Not any more...

For instance, there were only 4 - 2016 Cayenne Turbo S Exclusive cars built. I am not sure about the 2015 911 Turbo production numbers yet, but I have only found one other car built so far. Now that the "Exclusive" department has expanded its capacity so greatly, I am not sure how exclusive the cars will be in the future. As a percentage of total production perhaps it will remain a small fraction. We can only hope that the build quality maintains its high standards but perhaps those fears are allayed by the new workspace and techniques used for even higher precision work.

The wheels on the Exclusive cars are spectacular and pave the way for increased production of carbon wheels for greater access across a broad line of vehicles in the future...
