2013 Turbo S

There's a 2013 Turbo S with 40K miles for sale at a dealer near me for $85K. The reason for the low price is an accident which required the car to be towed. Here's the carfax:https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...AD2A90DS766175

Good deal? I haven't checked out the car, but I do know that cars involved in serious accidents are a real challenge to sell, and they are typically sent to an auction which is how this dealer made the purchase.

There are a bunch of TT cars 2011-2013 with clean CARFAX, under 30k miles, between $82-$95k. Why look at a possible problem car? Search Cars.com. You may have to travel or buy long distance but why take the chance. $85k with a rear end collision is no great deal.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with the depreciation on a turbo S, so I appreciate your input.

I agree with Penn4S. Keep looking you will find a better candidate. If you didn't already know that year would be a 997 TTS, not a 991 TTS and imo there is a big difference.

Thanks for the info. I won't waste my time checking out the car.

If you have $85-$90k to spend you can find a nice car.

My old TTS 31k is for sale with CPO at Porsche Fairfield just traded it in. You can see it here in all its glory. https://www.instagram.com/911weapon/

My sense is if someone already likes the 991, 997 wont do. But if it's your first TTS of these generations go 997 first. They are more mechanical and much less luxurious but essentially as fast as 991.1 and raw. Make for a great first taste. I'm on the 991TTS (opportunistically) and that car is amazing. Keeping it short.
