Default Rubbing on 21” HREs with H&R springs???

Hey guys,

I just got my 21 inch HREs on my car last week. It was already sitting on H&R springs. Now it sounds like I am getting some rubbing from the passenger side rear when I make a U-turn or go into a flat driveway. I know this combo has worked for numerous people so I’m wondering what is different about my set up? I don’t know if I need to just yank the springs off switch to techart springs? Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

Thanks,
Christian

It's most defintely something wrong with the install. I have had H&R's on my 21" setup and no issue at all. Knock on wood!

I run 255/30R21 and 325/25E21 and theres no rub here. I plan to run more camber up front and shove 265's up front once the tires wear out

I’m running the exact same set up on mine. I need to get this sorted out today guys. Is there any way that the H&R springs could’ve been installed incorrectly? Is this an alignment/camber issue? Do you guys run some specific camber set up when you go 21” wheels and tires? This is driving me insane.

You sure it’s rubbing and not just the normal awd sound? On all my 991s I get a sound like the tire is dragging when turning full wheel lock.

It's for sure a slight rubbing. I know what you mean about the tire dragging sound. Good thought. I'm dropping the car off with a race shop this weekend so I should have an answer by Monday. Also having my other mods done then too so I actually can't wait!

Somethings not right, did you buy the wheels new? I ran 21" HRE dropped on Techart springs and had zero issues.

Correct wheels for the car. Had my shop take the rear suspension apart. They say that there is a spring clip in there that they moved and put the spring on the higher perch. Something like that. Everything is perfect now so looks like they figured it out. Does anyone know if there are 2 ways to install simple lowering springs? 2 spring perches?
