2019 991.2 Turbo S discount

Yep, very reasonable to assume this is the case. I mean, logically, replacing carbon fiber wheels ($14,980) would cost more to insure than my standard aluminum wheels.
I was told there is a $50 deductable if I needed to get new wheels, and can even have them shipped to my local town and installed here, rather tha drive 120 miles to my dealership to have new wheels installed.

The carbon wheels were likely a dumb purchase financially speaking but given the cost of the car to begin with, I just swallowed all common sense and plunged ahead.

I paid $3500 to insure the carbon fiber wheels. I have no idea if that is a good deal or a bad deal but it is less than the cost of one replacement wheel.

This thread is completely off track - sorry - but after seeing these CF wheels on my new car that was just unloaded from the truck this morning, I'm going to seriously consider the wheel/tire insurance.

4-6 percent is really strong, sounds like a great deal to me, and the new turbos are a good year and a half out from actually landing in the states or more given the carb delays they will go through. I LOVE my 19! They are pretty rare to boot. Only a few hundred.

They really cut production in 18 and 19.....that should help in value and exclusivity....
Should help all 991.2s Turbos and hopefully my 17....
They really went wild with 991.1 production on Turbos...

Yes, the Turbos do depreciate faster than anyone probably likes as it is real money, and even if 992 is NOT seen as anything appreciably better the new model almost always accelerates the depreciation curve on the old style of that model...for us that buy CPO cars that is a good thing.....looking forward to a turbo s with hybrid in a few years....

I disagree. Assuming the 992 TTS price is hiked as much as the 992S, then I think the depreciation curve of the 991 TTS will not change significantly. If the base price is around $190 like the 2019 model, then the values will be affected.

Yes, that would be the clincher, if the price moves between models.

Does it have the CF wheels?? A heavily optioned one will have higher discount. Makes sense. Doesn't sound too bad. I got about 4% but my TT really only has the PDCC and Burmester and a sunroof. The rest were low cost options.
