Please offer your opinions on these two 991 turbos for sale
 

So, I've really been hunting around for 997 Turbos, mostly just because my budget is under $100K and there are virtually no 991 turbos for sale under $100K. But then I came across these two higher mileage 991 Turbos, and I would love to take advantage of the hive mind on these.

The first is a black TTS with 51,206 miles and gray interior. It supposedly comes with a "Porsche Platinum Extended Warranty," so that would help a little with my peace of mind: 2014 TTS for sale on Autotrader

What do you guys think about these specifically?
And what general advice would you offer someone like me who's thinking of buying one of the least expensive 991 Turbos in the country?

I agree with marc33, the silver one is a CPO until 2020, can't beat a CPO warranty. In the end, these cars are very reliable, buy the one you like more

I just bought my first Porsche 911 turbo s 2 weeks ago. The S looks clean on the pic, the silver looks like the front bumper has a different shade from the hood. It’s just a matter of looking at the car in person and take it to the dealer have them go over it.

I just wanted to note that I think it's great that both are 5 lug wheel examples...not always easy to find, particularly on the TTS cars. :)

Both are nice cars. I have to give the white car the nod even though I prefer silver as a color.

It would be great to know all the options both cars have to confirm my initial impression, but I do see the PDLS on the TTS and not on the TT.

5 lugs were mandatory for me and both of these cars have them! The TTS has a torn front spoiler and I wonder why it has the wrap, the before photos look pretty good but they may be dated and black is just tough to the care of?

PPI's and in person inspections are absolutely necessary and which one drives better should be evident.

Yes, if you're going to have problems, first world problems are definitely the way to go!!

I am also in the market and have been searching quite meticulously. I ran across the white/black TTS over a month ago and, like you, was intrigued by the price. Personally, I'm shocked it's still for sale because the price seems pretty spot on if not a little low. Why is it still for sale? Makes me think there could be problems beyond the front splitter since there has to be pretty solid interest in it so perhaps once you see it in person, there are other problems. What do I know but it was enough for me to pass on it. Also, I am afraid of that high of mileage and costs to repair these cars cannot be cheap!!

Price seems a bit low even for that mileage and private seller. No prior accident history? Does the CPO warranty transfer over to a new owner in a private sale?

On the front splitter being damaged, if it's just the rubber lip component, it's $1600-$1900 for a replacement depending if you want the "Turbo S" lettering. The entire assembly costs upwards of $4k so hopefully it's just the lip and nothing else.

If you go with the base turbo, make sure you like the 14-way seats. They are VERY different from the 18-way and personally, I cannot stand them. I don't think they are very supportive and feel flimsy. Regarding interior color, I have seen many cars with grey interior that seem to be priced slightly below average. My hypothesis is that that is because the grey seem a bit dirtier or more worn out sooner than other colors. I don't have a ton of data to back this up though. Finally, expect the S to have better resale value (at least $10k)
