Preferred removable front plate holder?

I'd like to use a removable plate holder instead of having the standard bracket screwed on to my new car's bumper by the dealership. I know some attach to the tow hook mount and maybe there are other systems. A search turned up the Skene Design that mounts in the center and the holes for it are hidden under the lip but no 991 application is listed. And I see RHO has an app. What units have you guys found to look, stand up and remove well?

Thank you for the suggestion! No fitment listed for 991 Turbo but I just emailed them a request. Thanks again.

Rennline: No holes to drill.

The main screw goes in the tow hook port and it is an easily installed mounting bracket. Be sure to save your painted plastic cover in a safe protected place for the next owner!

I have the Skene design plate holder having had one on a C6 Z06 Corvette. The size for the 991 is extra short. Fortunately I have never had to install it but I have verified that it does fit.

I’ve got the Rennline bracket shown above. That said, I’ve never actually mounted it on my car. I’ve considered buying one of those replica license plates that’s essentially a vinyl cling that can be placed or removed easily without damaging the paint. I know it wouldn’t be considered a reasonable substitute by the police, but it might be enough to keep me from being pulled over.

I contacted them and they replied that they don't have this application ready yet.

The Rennline site claims it won't work on cars with parking sensors. Do you have sensors on your 928 GT R?

No, and my state does not require front plates. That said, my 2016 Cayenne Turbo S came from California with one of these installed on it and I was impressed. Hope you find something for your application.

I have a custom magnetic from plate. I love it. Looks factory when on and is very secure. I will post pics when I get a chance. It does require removing the front bumper to install the magnets however.

That sounds interesting, and I'll be pulling the bumper for grill install anyways! Pic appreciated when you have time.

I went with this option as I have the parking sensors. Haven't had any issues with it yet.

That's actually the one my dealer stocks and recommends. Glad to hear there's no issue with parking sensors. I'd prefer a solution that centers the plate on the front but good to know this is a suitable option. Thank you.
