Cost to replace spark plugs in TTS
Hi,
So my car has 23k miles on a 2015 TTS. Have no issues but was at the Porsche dealership yesterday and asked about cost to
replace plugs. The Service Manager quoted a price of $900 in labor, he said plugs were $26 a piece, no thx they are only $96 for 6
at Suncoast Porsche. The dealership is in Fort Myers. Is that price about right? Anyone recommend a local shop around Naples to Fort Myers
that has replaced their plugs in a TTS?

I think dealer quoted around $1,200 for parts and labor here in Houston. We did my buddy's 997 TT, took some effort, but was fun. Just replaced plugs, used same coils. Probably $100 in parts.

According to the workshop manual you have to lower the engine (lower, not remove) on the 991 TT to get to the plugs.

Ye you have to lower the engine, heard that from the SA. he said it was a 6 hour job, so $150 an hour. And 997 were
easier than the 991. I think will buy the plugs/coli packs and have them both replaced, maybe even the air filter since
the bumper will be off.

need 560hp here in flat/straight Florida. I do need a Porsche though. Maybe try a convertible or targa.

I did the plugs, coils, and some other goodies myself with the help of a buddy over the summer on a 14' TTS. Before doing so I checked prices from a local indy shop that specializes on P cars and a local P dealer...they were quoting me around 2k+ (~1500 labor, ~500 parts).
The process is definitely tedious and time consuming but definitely doable on jack stands in the garage. You do not need to drop the engine but it would be much, much easier if you do. I can also share instructional documents I found to help me through this if anyone is taking a stab at it.
