19” wheels and PCCB
Was trying to see if anyone was willing to share what they did to get 19” wheels to fit with PCCB. I have heard that the dust shield needs removal and potentially a control arm bolt need to be replaced or ground down. Before I buy wheels I wanted to see how others have gotten by with them. I tried searching but didn’t find specifics. Thanks in advance! |
Check with the guys on the 991 GT3 forum....it’s possible with Forgeline and BBE wheels...possibly HRE...plenty have do it |

I do not know we’re your located, but AutoQuest of Fort Meyers , FL has done several GT3 /GT3RS s along with a few TTS |

Well in my snooping around on the GT3 side I found that Hoosier now makes a 20” slick in our sizes. That might be the ticket for me. |

Just remember that the GT3 has different (smaller) front brake rotors than the GT3RS/TTS, so you need to pay closer attention to the RS methods. Hoosier in 20in may be a lot cheaper alternative.

Only HRE, Forgeline and FinSpeed make 19" wheels that work on PCCB GT3/GT2/TT 991s.
No need to grind the lower bolt head, but you need to rotate it so its bottom is parallel to the ground, or swap it with Panamera lower control arm bolts. The FinSpeed have more clearance than the Forgelines/HRE, but I prefer Forgeline (their track proven quality in Pro racing seals the deal for me). I have HRE in my other cars, they are top quality wheels as well. No need to remove any parts. My TTS is heavily lowered (lower than my maxed 991.2 GT3 RS and previous 991.1 GT3 RS). No rubbing. You're guaranteed to scrap the calipers paint with track debris, so for street use, stay with 20" or even better 21". For track use, 19" offer a wide variety of sticky and track proven tires. Contact your favorite Finspeed/Forgeline/HRE retailer. They have the widths and offsets that work. I have the width/offset ranges, but I would rather let the vendors share that information with buyers, as it takes them a good deal of time and labor to come up with the measurements that work. |

What will the 19" wheels be used for? Track? Sure some wheels may clear the PCCB and rear lower control arm bolt, but at the expense of wheel barrel strength. Wheel barrel deformation under load will affect your camber and handling. For drag radial in the rear, it's fine, but i wouldn't do it for the street or track. BTW i would recommend the Panamera bolt, rather than shaving down the factory Turbo bolt.
