Default Winter Shoes on my Chalk 911 TTS

I'm so glad I got the winter wheel set and didn't put my 911 in storage this year. The heated steering wheel, heated seats, and all around great insulation make this a wonderful winter car. I finally got around to taking a pic of my Chalk TTS wearing its winter shoes:

Love them! Same as I have on my Sapphire Blue GTS.

Makes for a great winter driver.

The Michelin Alpins, which currently come with the Porsche standard winter wheel set for the TTS. The standard size for winter is 295's on the rear (instead of the summer 305's).

Awesome. Do you guys have ppf? I would love to drive my car year round but I’m afraid of all the salt and gunk on the road.

I have full PPF on the entire car. As I've gotten older, my feeling is that life is too short -- and the winter storage season is too long -- not to enjoy the car as much as reasonably possible during the winter. I've stored my sports cars in the winter every year until this one. I hesitate to drive it with snow on the roads, however; even if the snow is light enough not to create the snowplowing effect, I would be concerned about other drivers.

I am going to be driving mine all winter long as well. And you are correct you have to worry about the other people.

I did the same with my 19 TTS cab...wrapped the whole thing and said F it, I'm using it all year round...best decision ever as honestly unless there is over 6 inches of snow on the ground, it's better than my full sized Rover in the snow!

With snows it is better than most SUVs........I know that with my old C4S I could go places easier than Jeeps and other SUVs with more control....that rear engine with the snows is unbeatable......I used to place a 50 pound bag of sand in the front trunk during the winter for extra grip on the front...........
