Given the minor changes from the 991.2 to the 991.3 (Sorry, I mean the 992) I would expect just a 20-30hp bump and they call it a day. That's all they did from 991.1 to 991.2 also. Of course, also the new interior, 21" rear wheels, 8-speed PDK, and those other family upgrades.

I wonder how the 8 speed PDK will effect performance

I'd bet tech will be a big part of the new Turbo...they need to get a superior Heads Up display into it, maybe some stuff we haven't seen yet.

That would be the easy thing to do. But given the Exclusive series is already at 600hp, I think they will aim higher.

Specifically I think the magic number will be 680hp with the new Turbo S. I don't think they will allow the Panamera Turbo S to have more hp than the 911 Turbo S. Historically these cars have always been matched for HP.

Yes, that's what Porsche said is coming. More tech. Personally I do not care.

Hmm let me think...

997.2 TTS 530 hp
991.1 TTS 560 hp
991.2 TTS 580 hp
992.1 TTS ~ 610-620 hp

21" rear wheels, maybe a slight change to wheel width? Altered engine mounts...maybe tweaked PASM...tweaked VTG...

Will they have the guts to go to 4.0 liter TT? If so that bumps the hp way up.

Different rear wing and active front spoiler?

Could be very naughty.

The car is already so fast now and beyond most driver's skill level...........only place to extract close to the total performance is the track.......

Porsche could work on the exhaust sound a bit more in sport plus or sport modes ala Kline system, but stock build from the factory...........

I still think a hybrid turbo is in store.......

The car is a bullet already. Maybe improvements in road feel like DSC accomplishes. No doubt an option for an aggressive exhaust would be on most all builds if offered. An increase to 600 - 610 with improved lower end and it will be scary fast. Making it a bit lighter would also be great , car is already rock solid to drive.
I think all TTS should have upgraded audio leave the Bose for other models.

Once you're up to speed, sure, agree with you, but....gotta work on tip-in throttle response and drive train lash, that would be my big wish - got rid of my '14 TTS because of this, in favor of a '16 Cayman GT4, I'm kind of joining the camp that turbo's + all wheel drive makes even high performance cars pretty clumsy around town. In my GT4, well, every time I set off in it I've got a big grin on my face. Somehow Porsche needs to figure out how to get that performance into the 992 TTS.

I think the 991.2 TTS does everything so effortlessly that it lulls you into believing the car has no edge as a sports car.............

I would hope the 992's exhaust system could be changed to sounds more fierce.........that would be the main thing I would like to see changed......along with adding a hybrid source for additional power, so it stands out as a higher tech proposition.....

I don't see it being "clumsy" per se around town in its handling, but maybe too sedate in the automatic mode and the lack of exhaust sound reinforces that feeling.........

It would be good if it was lighter overall - GT3 type weight, for better mileage and agility, but probably not possible with a heavier turbo hybrid technology I propose.......

In know that the all wheel drive makes it so planted in any weather that the driver just has to simply point and shoot the car and it stays the course even at higher speeds that defy what other sports cars can do.....I don't think that is a bad thing....

No matter what, they will be challenged to make the TTS stand out......to date they did that with the GT2RS.....

When I leave mine in Sport or Sport Plus Mode, it gives me a noticeable uptick in performance, exhaust sound and it then requires more input, especially in Sport Plus Mode making it similar to a GT3 as far as paying attention, albeit not feeling as quick in the shift with the PDK or sounding as fierce............

I have the Cobb tune with PDK Upgrade. I find the car as quick as i would ever want it and the PDK shifting fast and crisp and very GT3 like even in auto. I have it tuned to Sport not Aggressive which suits my driving style and with the Europipe exhaust the sound is greatly improved. Never found the car clumsy around town. These types of upgrades in a stock car plus some weight savings and i could be a 992 customer.
