Yep...I think this is a great suggestion....I have done it for my kids car but I need to do it for mine. We should start a thread on dash cam solutions and products so we can see how you guys have done this.

I'd be interested in reading dash cam experiences / suggestions.

I’m looking at them now and saw that Nick Murray (a YouTube Porsche fan) install the BlackVue in his 991.2 C4S.

I reviewed it and found that the BlackVue 750s and 900s as the two options. Price range is $400-650 and include both front and rear facing cameras with up to 168 degree viewing angle.

Only issue is the install. I’m in queens, NY.

I had a similar issue myself on the rear quarter panel, told the guy who rubbed my car to go f#%^ himself and just replaced the clear bra. FYI, a good clear will protect your paint and panel a lot...good peace of mind to have!

thank you, I don’t mind us all having a further element of protection such as xpel (which proved its worth), radar detector/laser jammer and dashcams. The question I have is, where is there a reputable spot that you can trust to do the dashcam in New York City/Long Island?

Additionally, since we’re on the topic of road awareness/security; does it benefit to have a laser jammer in NYC/Long Island? Do our cops use laser or radar ?

I’m so sorry to hear this happened. Ugh.. Uber and Lyft drivers are roaches on the road. How are they allowed to operate? They are constantly distracted with their phones and maps and they stop wherever they like. They have absolutely no appreciation for road rules and are completely inconsiderate of the drivers around them. IMO Their should be stricter regulations on them like cab companies.
