Launch control in sport mode

I thought launch control is only possible in sport+, but then i tried lc in sport mode today.
No yellow LAUNCH CONTROL warning on screen, but works just like in sport+.
Is this a new feature for .2?

According to the new manual it states that Launch Control is fully operational in Sport Plus Mode. Page 268. It doesn't say to turn PSM off, but I've read that this helps with less wheel spin.

Be safe and drive carefully.

What the OP means is that in Sport mode you still launch but don't get the actual 'Launch control activated' message. Seems to be a feature I guess, kind of a 'soft' launch control when you are not in Sport +.

Also a 2017 here and noticed after launching in Sport and realizing I was not getting the activation message in the dashboard.

Is this true also for 991.1 TTS as well?

in the 991.1 Turbo S, Launch Control is fully activated in Comfort, Sport or Sport+, with PSM on and off (the 6 combinations, LC works). LC Activated message shows up on the the screen.

I have a PDK tune, it gives me 3 different LC programs, a soft LC in Comfort/Sport, a more aggressive than stock LC in Sport+, and Sport+ with manual mode holds the gears (requires manual upshifts on LC).

What I don't understand is how does the car know to engage LC if you don't disable PSM, won't the gas and brakes be fighting each other if you slam on the gas with your foot depressed on the brake?

No need to understand computer programs. As long as LC is activated (via dashboard message), the computers take care of any overlaps between acceleration, clutchs, e-diff, AWD, wheels spin, ABS sensors, e-gas, etc.

Indeed, in my 991 GT3 RS, I can only use LC with all the nannies ON. If I shut off PSM or TC in the GT3 RS, I can no longer invoke LC, this applies to all the GT3s from 2015 and forward, the 2014 GT3s (not all of them) can use LC with nannies off.
