991.2 TT or 991.2 TTS

991.2 TT or 991.2 TTS
This subject has probably been beaten to death. But, I’m really struggling between the TT and TTS. I can get an allocation for either. Accounting for the “extras” that come standard on the TTS and the options I otherwise want across both cars, the MSRP difference is roughly 10k. So, 10k for another 40 horses and so-called bragging right. The absolute difference, not accounting for the difference in standard equipment is 24k. The two biggest contributors to narrowing the gap are the PCCBs and PDCC. The car will rarely get tracked and the TT is more than fast enough to get my license revoked on the road. With such similar performance at street (and somewhat above) legal speeds, does it really make “sense” to get the TTS? Put another way, can you feel enough of a difference between the two? Also will the TT depreciate faster? Before anyone goes off the rails on this, I can afford either (but I didn’t get to that point by be being silly with money). Also, I’ve considered a lightly used 991.2 TTS, but I’m willing to pay up a bit to have it my way.
Thanks and and sorry In advance for reopening a can of well worked worms.

I love both PCCB's and the PDCC on my car. With the PCCB's I really appreciate the lack of brake dust. Can't comment on anything else.

If, as you say, the difference is 10k, then that shouldn't be silly money.
If it is, then you shouldn't be in the market for a TT or TTS.

My rec would be to find a 991.2 TTS used and CPOd that most closely matches how you would build a new one and save some money while getting the same car and use the savings for some modifications. Exhaust, springs etc. It is easier to stomach all the options when they are already on the car! Good luck.

I’m not sure how you guys are specing your cars? My TT with PDCC and most every option came to 26k CAD (~19K USD) less than a similarly speced TTS equivalent. I didn’t want PCCBs. They may have less dust but as far as braking performance (not feel) there are no published stats stating PCCB will stop faster. Most tunes will get TT and TTS to same power levels. Enjoy the car until warranty expires then tune if you feel you need more HP.
Dont let people tell you 10 or 20k doesn’t matter when shopping for a car like this. I rather have a TT and a new Panigale V4 as opposed to a TTS. Most on here are old fogies so don’t listen to them unless you are one as well.

Have not bought a used car since I was 16, that was a million years ago, however my 17' TTS was "used" , found one with 2004 miles, and 50k plus off sticker, after some time back and forth battling. I got more than I wanted and saved some money, purchased my car site unseen, 1500 miles away, and made delivery to my driveway part of the deal, never been more pleased.

For the 991.2, I believe the TTS uses different turbos than the TT, so you're getting more than just a few extra hp for $10k. If you're shelling out money to order new, I'd go all the way and get the TTS.
On the new versus CPO route, keep in mind the next gen 992 TT/TTS are due to hit in a year or two and will cause a fresh depreciation hit. As another data point, I picked up my 2014 991.1 TTS cab around 2 years ago CPO with 10k miles and over $60k off MSRP. My CPO warranty runs out in 2020, almost just in time to trade up to a 992 assuming the next bear market doesn't hit by then.

TTS all the way. New vs CPO really depends on how picky you are on colors and options. In my case, the TTS I fell in love with was chalk inside and out which is only available on 2018-19 and the only one I saw used was bought by someone else before my offer was accepted. New order was my only option. The wait until late November/early December is painful to say the least.

In for a penny, in for a pound. Ordered a new TTS. Basic build. Carrara White, Black Interior, FAL, heated/ventilated seats, sunroof (not glass... didn’t want to break up the lines), LCA plus a few other minor options. December build. Now the waiting begins.
