Gt3 better then a TTS?

Thanks guys. Getting to know the nomenclature. I appreciate it.

So the answer is the wail of the GT3 at 9000rpm. That's why reviewers love the GT3. I prefer what the TTS can do, not what it sounds like. Remember, most reviewers also want a manual transmission, because that's the cool thing to write.

Just sold my 991.2 turbo S at 17 months of age and 6000 miles. Just didn’t do it for me. Once I had got beyond the launch control party trick there was nothing left to excite me. Yes the quality was great, real world performance, particularly when wet, is the best but I just found it oh so boring. Ended up driving my I3 more. Having come through numerous 996 models including a GT2 I guess I was expecting more excitement.
Went and text drove 488 and having been offered what I felt was a great price for the 911 it was a done deal.
I think the problem, for me, is that the turbo S only starts to come alive and excite when driving on track or at ridiculous, highly illegal, speeds on the public road which is just plain dangerous. 488 was just so exciting at normal speeds and just a bit scary too.
I have no doubt that a GT2 RS would fulfill all of my needs but Porsche won’t sell me one; that’s a whole different story!
Just my personal opinion.

Back to the thread topic, when I was shopping for a car over a year ago, I considered a CPO 991.1 GT3 but went for a CPO 991.1 TTS for around the same price because 1) this car is my DD and the TTS was easier to live with, 2) the TTS has a higher performance ceiling should I decide to mod it when the CPO warranty ends, and 3) I did not want to deal with the engine (finger follower) issues of the 991.1 GT3s.
If I had to choose today, I might be tempted to DD a beater and have a manual 991.2 GT3 for the weekends. But, I'm not willing to pay $15k-$50k dealer markups for the latter (and at the higher markups, I'd rather swing a CPO 991.1 GT3 RS), so I'll just stick to what I have.

I think Georgemaser (OP) just likes to throw around bombs and then disappear. This is the same guy that complained about Champion Porsche a while back about his deposit. He threw them under the bus and then when silent. This time, he's in a TTS forum asking if the GT3 is better and then disappears. Ridiculous.
