991.1 to 991.2 PCM Upgrade
Does anyone here know if it is possible to upgrade the PCM in the 991.1 Turbo S with a PCM from a 991.2. Really wanting Apple Car Play in my 2015. Thanks

Any which way it goes, if it can, I suspect it should be somewhat costly.

Very costly. My head unit was replaced under warranty, about 5k. That's for a "simple" replacement.

I find CarPlay and the PCM4 a joke for that matters. If I was going to mess replacing a head unit, I'd check outside of the time capsule called PCM. My opinion only.

It works great in my 2018 GMC Denali pickup.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so this will be my only comment:
In my 18 S 560 it won't work wirelessly, so though I have a wireless charger, I have to plug it in to the apple USB port for it to work, then it works but definitely much more limited as compared to using my actual phone.
I like to use the phone wirelessly for music etc, so apple play is useless for me
