Is this just a muffler?

A muffler alone should not drone at all.

Phil from Fabspeed here.
I have spoke with the OP a lot on this topic. It is the valvetronic supersport x-pipe and only is experiencing drone with valves open (muffler bypass) at 2-3k RPM.
