Default GMG Product Spotlight: CSF Intercooler w/ Testing and Video

With the help of our long time partners at CSF, we were able to get this 991.2 Turbo ready for the upcoming summer months with a new set of intercoolers. Our team had a great experience working with these units as they have impeccable fitment. The test was done over a 24 hour period with nearly identical ambient air temps (within 3 degrees farenheit) . The results from the dyno were as promised; a tremendous drop in Intake Air Temperature or IAT. It is no secret that turbo and forced induction relies on a supply on good supply of cool, dense air. These drops in temperature are critical in power consistency and increasing the air density the engine receives. The results of the test were taken from the plotted dyno readings and charted below. The features car has our GMG Sport exhaust with 200 cell cats, an IPD Plenum and Y-pipe, and a GIAC Stage 1 Tune.

Videos will be made available shortly..

Those graphs look pretty great, if I'm honest.

Local shop on the Eastern shore of MD called Autobahn Service Center. 5 1/2 hour labor charge. I took the car in with the Rear bumper off.

Looks like a great option! The graphs look great. Can you speak to how they compare with the competition? They are 1-1500 less than most of the other guys....

here is a good video done by an enthusiast with a youtube channel -

Also - there are a lot of professional shops who are using the intercoolers as part of their packages. (GMG, Evolution Motorsports, 9FF (Germany), Ring Police (Germany), Atomic Autoparts (Middle East), Gosha Turbo Tech (Russia), AIM Performance + about 20 more shops I could list off (was just giving a nice range of known shops around the world)
- These intercoolers are installed in the TopSpeed Motorsports 991 TurboS that holds the current world record in the 1/2 mile

Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

We are running them in all of our 991 and 991.2 kits, and have used them on our 1000whp build (now being campaigned by CSF) as well as Evo Spec's 1200whp+ build.

We chose them because they are good quality, effective at cooling, and are simpler and more reliable than other options on the market in their construction costing $1000 more. Anyone running a 991 with a tune and exhaust is well served by upgrading intercoolers and after years of playing the market with intercoolers CSF made the ones we are happiest with.

I just looked through a set of runs we did working on 991.2TTS R&D. The car is making around 650whp. On a 60-130mph pull, the stock intercoolers were starting at 30C and ending at 55C after a pull lasting less than 7sec, with the car cutting power at the end. After bolting on the CSF intercoolers, the temps went from 30C at the start to only 38C at the end. The car was 0.35sec faster on the same tune after adding the intercoolers. On a 1/4mi test, arguably a bigger test of an intercooler since it starts at 0mph and lasts longer, there was a similar gap in temperatures. Adding the intercoolers gained 3.5mph in the 1/4, from 135 to 138.5.

Any data on real life road course situations where runs are 20 min+ and mostly full throttle? Understand the short dyno runs and sprint scenario benefits.
