Floor it to redline with A/C on?
I'm old school and always turn off the a/c before I floor it. Is that just silly in the world of modern engineering?

At Spring Mountain driving school they drive the ZR1 with AC on all the time, it cuts off above a certain RPM, I am sure the Porsche does the same thing, all my other cars do

Just curious how you know this? Makes sense, and was my hope, but I couldn't find anything to confirm it. I've been turning it off for so long on older cars, it feels wrong to just blast away with the A/C on, even though I can't make a rational argument against it...

Just like in the half mile race below, AC and seat cooling is on full blast for most of my airstrip runs. A couple weeks ago at Thermal Club I did 20 minute track sessions each time with windows up and AC full blast in my two track cars.

Any Porsche owner should know the ac pump disengages when on launch start or on full throttle application..
