Agreed! We also have a few other options if you are further away.

Champion Motorsports is in Pompano, anything closer to Miami?

Porsche West Broward and The Collection are both pretty good. There is also an good indy called Parkhaus 1. I can ask around for more.

I'm interested in this for my 991.2 TTS. Based out of Northern California and don't have a problem pulling/mailing the ECU. Let me know how to proceed... :D

Congrats to Sam and the Cobb Team!

Cheers everyone it’s going to be well worth the wait in every way. Baracat...OUCH!

I’m creating a list if everyone wants to reach out to me by email and you know I’m going to announce everything here! After sifting through hundreads of files and tons of data I will have Dyno sheets up for everyone soon!

I’ve got two questions about the Cobb system that would be of general interest:

1) Does the ECU have/retain full safeguards for high altitude driving? I live at 4500 feet and frequently get to 8000 feet, and others go higher. The spin speed limit of the turbo may limit my available boost target due to the lower air pressure.

2) How close in whp is a typical reflashed turbo to a reflashed turbo S (~stages 1-3)? If you’re there yet, how about at stage 4(+) after upgrading the turbo turbochargers?

Hi Ace,

1) Always has! In fact Cobb has been testing and running at the Pikes peak Hill climb from 5000ft to 10k+ since the 991 came out. We even got up there faster than any Porsche last year running a By Design Stage 4 kit! Beyond that custom tuning allows us to really take a look and dial in the calibration to the next level of performance and reliability.

2) We have it all pretty much ready! You will see a similar 40ish hp difference in hp from the TT to the TTS. Pushing harder with Meth or E85 we see even more gains with the larger turbos. We have had Stage 4 above 720wheel so far and continue to dial her in. The cars are the same as far and the engine and fueling system except for the turbos.

:)

Awesome, thanks Sam!

I didn't realize they did the PPIHC - living nearby in Utah I need to get out there and check that event out one of these years. That's an excellent test of a tune! I'm going to have to search youtube to see if they uploaded onboard footage. That's a cool event.

Sounds like the .2 TTS turbochargers have a bit of extra headroom - great news for all of the TTS owners!

My car money keeps getting poured into the race car project (just lost the motor! :( ) but I'd love to uncork the TT... you guys just take these already incredible cars up to the next level. Your threads are like looking into the walls of the gearhead candy shop. Stage 2 is just a staggering gain for such minor changes, and the stage 4+ cars are just monstrous.

Not at all. Just what I imagined thinking about "extracting the ECU" :)
