Stock 991.1 Turbo S 1/2 Mile Results
Wrapped up day 1 here in Dallas...bone stock numbers!
She was hauling but so was the tail wind (about 35 degrees off center but pretty strong/consistent). I don't know that it would run these numbers in calm conditions).

Good stuff...I assume that's an app or something measuring those times / speeds??
157 seems a bit high for 1/2 speed for a stock car, isn't it?? I was thinking those cars were mid-high 140's at the real events.
Either way, very nice....I really want a 991TTS someday.

His car is right on the money for a Turbo S, looking at the 1/4 mile trap. My 991.2 trapped 135.99 best in the 1/4 and multiple 133-134 and goes out the other end around 162-164mph from what I have seen. So his numbers are pretty typical of the 991.1 numbers I've seen. I did months of looking at this stuff to plan buying the car, then planning modifications.

A 991.1 Turbo S is on my bucket list, so I love seeing the higher mph!! Congrats!!

Ran 157 a couple times again today...10.84@130.6 in the 1/4 on the VBox. Winds were from the same direction but much calmer (around 10-15 mph).
These things are straight up beasts...21 passes over 2 days averaging 156.4 MPH. Some hooked better than others but not ONE aborted run!

Congrats!
My friend Jason set / broken his own Lambo G. w/ E-Gear tranny world record today.
234.49 MPH.
Wished I could'a been there.

Density altitude, wind direction and slope play a huge difference. Try running at shift sector on a 95 degree day with a headwind. You wont see 150 on a stock 991.1. Stars were aligned at WGF in Dallas last weekend.

DA wise it's a forced induction car...yes it plays into the pressure ratio (charge air temps & turbine inlet pressure) but it doesn't have quite the direct effect that as an NA car. DA is barely a factor with turbo cars until you're talking thousands of feet and even then it's mostly an issue with boost threshold, spool, and max attainable boost if you're trying to get everything out of a setup.
And slope? You mean the GPS-verified 16' drop over a 1/2 mile there? I'm sure that helped a little but I wouldn't call it a "huge difference".
As impossible as it may seem to you the slips are in front of me. <shrug>

People were commenting that they needed to constantly correct at speed and steer (slightly) into the wind to go straight.
