0 vs Sport vs Sport Plus

Ok quick Question

Sport mode opens up the exhaust and tightens up the suspension

Sports + raises rear spoiler and lowers front splitter. I feel the chasis gets even tighter.

Does either mode turn off traction control? Any other differences between the two modes?

Sport mode doesn't do anything to the exhaust aside from slightly raise the idle. It sounds louder but it's just idling higher. It sharpens throttle response and changes the PDK programming, and allows the Overboost function - (assuming you have a Turbo with Sport Chrono or a Turbo S where SC is standard).

Sport plus puts the suspension in Sport, makes the throttle more aggressive and the PDK programming more aggressive, in addition to extending the spoilers.

Thanks! I have a 2018 Turbo. The exhuast definitely sounds louder on sport or sport plus.

I have 2018 TTS and I'm confused about the exhaust - it does sound louder in Sport and Sport Plus at the same revs. also, Sport and Sport Plus drone, and Normal does not. Why? Is it symposer opening? Also, sport and sport plus has loud exhaust pops but Normal does not.

Sport and sport+ open some hoses inside cabin, so you will hear more exhaust sound inside car, outside sound will remain same as normal(idle will rise). Sport mode spits some gasoline to exhaust, so it will backfire sometimes.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...02f5451515.jpg

Also SC is standard for the 991.2 turbo.

Thanks, that's very helpful. So it was the symposer I was hearing in Sport mode. I should probably disconnect it.

That chart is excellent thank you!

is there any way to start the car in sport mode all the time?

From the factory no, it needs to default to normal to get the fuel economy ratings. For the 991.1 I believe someone has built a module that remembers the last drive mode for you.

I wanted to disconnect mine too while breaking in the car, as it drones a bit a low sustained RPMs. Now that it is broken in and I've heard it at WOT I am inclined to keep it. :)
