Default Full PPF Wrap and Coating Saffron Yellow

Blog post about my TTS, which received a full PPF wrap and coating at Esoteric in Ohio. I am overwhelmed by the quality of their work and commitment to my dream car, treating it as if it were their own. The final result is just outstanding. Write-up and photos below.

Mar 16, 2018

This Paint to Sample Saffron Yellow Metallic Porsche Turbo S full wrap project was recently completed at ESOTERIC! A great deal of disassembly took place to produce the most seamless paint protection film (clear bra) install possible. This may be one of the most disassembled Porsche’s (or any) vehicle for a PPF install. We are continuously improving our installation techniques and disassembly when possible is a large factor in the final result.

The color could be called “yellow” but that would be an injustice. It is incredibly unique with warm tones that shift depending on the light source. We have done our best to represent it in photos but you just have to see it in person. Please review the photos of the project below…

My Goodness does that look great. I can't wait to see your car up close and personal someday. Hopefully the weather will improve so we can meet up at the Coffee Run on April 8th. She looks fantastic.

PS. Did you ship her out to Ohio? And if you did, what Transfer did you use? Just curious.

Thanks, fingers crossed regarding the weather we will have a great day. I live in Fairfield and when the weather improves I need to start the break-in procedure. We could meet for lunch and a drive one day. Shipped to Ohio in a two-car enclosed carrier, that Esoteric recommended, I can get the number if you ever need it.

That yellow is sick sick sick.

FYI to my eyes, the swapped out “Turbo S” on the rear bumper looks crooked.

Thanks, loved the color from the first glance. Think that is just the photo angle or lens distortion, the emblem is OEM and applied using a template. I made a few quick measurements and all seems in order. Will take a longer look in the morning.

Chip is right. I just checked the pic of my car and it appears that not only is it slanted slightly, the spacing is off from the "PORSCHE" line above. Very perceptive eye. I didn't see it myself at first. I'm sure it's easily correctable.

For what it's worth, my PPF guy (local guru) made a template on the car as delivered (same as yours: Porsche with Turbo S underneath), and we concluded that the factory was off a bit too -- so we adjusted when putting it back on. Makes me wonder if the factory template does that to all or some cars, and it just goes unnoticed by all rational people...

Esoteric made their own template as well Tom and I am sure they made a similar adjustment. Who knows, going to enjoy the car as is and when it is time to change film worry about it then. Hell someone could rear end the car tomorrow and the emblem placement would be the least of my problems. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
