Congrats! You’re in good hands. I’ve always wondered how that exhaust compares to the Kline 76/70. Sometimes I think I could use a little more drama in the exhaust department.

Sam, how much more rowdy is this exhaust than the 76/70 (assuming 100 cell cats on both)?

A few things happen here. First you go to 76 mm piping so that’s larger and then you go from a full-size muffler to a smaller racing style muffler. There’s a little bit of drone but not anything crazy. In fact less than any other 3 inch and Probably similar to other systems on the market anyhow. The pitch is a little more exotic and I would say maybe 20% louder.

I have the same exhaust... Mine is Inconel though, but it sounds awesome!

No headers “yet”. But that will come along as my CFO (wife) allows or doesn’t realize.

Progress so far:

I got it all the way apart and had some really rusty and degraded nuts on the turbo/cat connection that needed addressing so I had to wait for some parts/tools to get delivered. Once they got here things have gone smoothly. Got the plugs and coils done and started to put everything back together.

I did end up pulling all the studs on the exhaust side of the turbo and replacing them. Interestingly all the threaded holes were SUPER tight. I ran a tap through them all and installed the new studs.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I also had at least 20 texts back and forth with Sam@ByDesign with questions about the process and install. And he is “amazingly” available and prompt. He is a true gem of a vendor.
