Default Tubi Exhaust

Has anyone installed a Tubi Exhaust on their TT?
Considering it (with cats) but was a little concerned that it might be too much...anyone with feedback would be appreciated

I had a Tubi (catless) on my 997.2. It was a very quiet exhaust and in fact too quiet for me. It was not much louder than the factory exhaust. It was certainly a well built and quality exhaust but just didn't have enough of that special sound. I would not consider it for my 991 and have a Kline (catless) being installed very soon.

Alevine, if you rank the stock at a 2 and Kline catless a 10 on the sound meter where would you rate the Tubi ?
Thanks

Unfortunately I live in Chicago so the TTS is in storage right now. In addition, the Kline exhaust is not yet installed. In fact, it is due to arrive at my house from Kline today. It will be installed in a few weeks so I'll be happy to give you my thoughts once it is on the car. That said, if stock was say a 2 the Tubi (catless) was a 4. I am hoping the Kline is an 8!

All of that said, my point reference may be somewhat skewed as I also have a 991 GT3 with an RSS exhaust/bypass. That's pure glory! Nothing really like a GT3 at 8k rpm. A TT or TTS will never sound that good (or nearly as loud), to my ears!

I hope this helps somewhat.

I have the Tubi y-pipe and exhaust on my 991.1 TTS and it’s pretty quiet I think. More raspy and prone to popping on decel, but it is not obnoxious at all.

Hi FLL. reach out to Tom at Champion. He will steer you straight. I can tell you the Tubi with cats is not "too aggressive". As for the detailed characteristics I am sure he can help you out. With the Kline there are a few different options/set-ups so comparison can vary.

I have a EP system on my 991.1 tts and a Kline Catless 70mm system on my 991.2 tts.

Stock is a 2. Ep would be a 6. Kline would be a 8 on the loudness scale.

Im quite surprised that the tubi race system would be described as quite but never heard it in person.

I have my EP system listed if you are interested at all.

Since this video doesn’t feature a 991 turbo model I’d be hesitant to draw conclusions about the sound from it.

I have the Tubi catless and coming from the GMG catless i thought i had put the stock exhaust back on it was so quiet in comparison. If you need catless for the highest level of performance and don't want to wake the neighbors, this is the exhaust for you.
