Default 7% off TT but may want the TTS

Ordering a TT but may want the TTS instead. Not sure if the PCCB and PDCC and bump in power is worth the extra $20,000+
Dealer giving me 7% off but not sure I’d get the same with a TTS

If you can swing it for the TTS go for it. The extra options and performance are worth the additional cost.

I disagree, squeaky PCCBs and the “extras” are definitely not worth it. TT’s are a lot rarer this gen than TTS’s are.

Add PDDC to the Turbo and the only thing you are missing is squeaky, too-grabby PCCBs, and a smidge more power.
In 2015, I put my money where that mouth was and don’t regret it.

I always wanted the TTS with PCCB's, for me getting the TT would leave me wondering what I missed.

I had Ceramics on my 997 Turbo and they never squeaked. In fact I thought they provided great breaking force and definitely saved me from a accident when someone cut
in front of me. Again I think it all depends on what you want and what you are looking for, and how you want to spend your dollars. Both are great cars.

PCCB squeaking problems is a myth. If you want to justify getting a TT, then look elsewhere to justify your decision. You should be able to cut the same 7% off for a TTS, so don't let that be an obstacle to getting what you want.

+1

I was able to get 6% off an ordered 2017 TTS without asking. So 7% should certainly be doable.

I had the exact same dilemma. Offered 7% off a new TT with april delivery. My dealer had no allocations for TTS and Rep couldn't get one either. Called around and either dealers had no allocations or were offering no to little discounts. My next decision was a 7% discount off a new 2018 TT or a CPO 2017 Turbo S that was 84% of MSRP with 2400 miles. in the end I wanted to custom order and pick my options and i optioned my TT and added the PDCC but not the ceramic brakes. In the end getting a spring delivery and the discount were too much to pass up.

I’m very happy I went with the TT. It sounds like you’d be happier getting the TTS. So get it and don’t look back. These cars generally fulfill emotional wants, not needs, so address your emotions in your decision making.

I’d suggest not worrying too much about the exact discount. You’ll take a big bath on resale regardless and as said before, if they can do 7% on the TT, they can do the same or very nearly so on the TTS (maybe a touch less if they have to trade for the allocation). Get what you really want and enjoy every mile.

+1 Get what you want, don't let numbers drive your decision, in the long run you'll be happier. Both are great configs, there's always something new coming, just get on with it and to the experience ! TTS here and like the PCCBs.

TT it is! Dealer told me last week that allocating a TTS would be challenging and the fact that I won’t be able to maximize the true potential of either car on the roads will not allow me to really tell the difference of either car.

Congratulations! I love my TT and have never felt I made the wrong decision. Throw up a picture or two when you get the car!
