Advice on 991.2TTS Config, Thoughts?
Have two potential ways to go on a new 991.2 TTS configuration. Both end up more or less in the same place cost wise
The car will not be daily driven (Tesla) but still probably 5-8k a year on trips and around town (suburban). Current is a 997.2 2011 TTS which i LOVE but the itch may need to be scratched.
A. More serious racing look ---- http://www.porsche-code.com/PJCKQWY8
B. More classic gentleman look ---- http://www.porsche-code.com/PJHJYQH3
(To way oversimplify)
I am totally happy with either builds.
QUESTIONS
1. any experiences with some of the options selected would be advised against (aerokit for example or gloss black on white). Or missing must-have options when going for that look.
2. which may have a more normal resale value in three years (less of a custom discount). not fooling myself either would get a premium.

My taste is a bit different on the interior, so difficult to judge. I don’t think you can go wrong with either build.
All 911 Turbo S’s are “gentlemanly”, so I wouldn’t have concern of it being “too” sporty.
I went with the aero kit and love it. I’d put that in a “must have” box from my perspective.
The Turbo S is well optioned to start with, everything else is less about resale and more about preference.
The features I love the most I added that first come to mind.... aero kit, tinted tail lights, black LED headlights, lift, burmeister, illuminated model in side step, leather steering console, painted side air intakes (yes, even on black), lane change assist....
If I did it again, I would not get the advanced cruise control.... I’ve found I will never use cruise in a 911 - too much fun to “drive”!

My $.0911:
Both Builds:
- ‘Steering Column Casing in Leather’ is - for me - a must-have option on two-tone leather where one of the tones isn’t black.
- Red belts will look strange with either interior. Silver-gray or chalk belts will look better in the first. Black will be fine on the second. But, for that one, Exclusive should be able to hook you up with something that matches.
- While the Burmester isn’t a great ‘value’ on the lesser 911s on the TurboS the upcharge from Bose isn’t too bad.
- I like the ‘crest on headrests’ option
First build:
- I wouldn’t skip ventilated seats. That’s one option that you don’t know you can’t live without until you’ve experienced them.
- I’m not a fan of painted body-color interior. Instead, try the ‘leather interior package’ to get rid of the carbon fiber trim.
Second build:
- I love the dark/light two-tone interiors, but would suggest going with Natural Leather Interior in Espresso/Cognac. In person the Espresso color is almost black and the Natural Leather is just way better.
- Again with the red belts?
- I don’t think the rear wiper will prove very useful.
- Front axle lift is important if you know you have some very steep approaches or if you spec the aerokit. I’ve never had a problem with mine without FALS.
- I don’t like PSP.
Last, personally, I have zero use for sunroofs. I love my ordered-to-spec sunroof-delete. I get more helmet room, no leaks, no rattles, and no future maintenance issues.

Three Wheelin'
My advice:
If you go with white:
- delete the red belts.
- add Porsche crests on headrests
- consider ACC with PAS
- Steering column in graphite blue leather
- can you get the airbag in graphite blue?
- Brushed Aluminum trim and pedals will coordinate better than the leather trim
If you go with GT silver
- consider the espresso-cognac interior instead of the black-beige. The black-beige looks pedestrian, but the espresso-cognac is really nice.
- add porsche crests on headrests
- add ACC with PAS
- Carbon fiber trim or dark brushes aluminum rather than leather trim
Consider a third option which is both gentlemanly and sporty
- Chalk with Black-Bordeax Red, with carbon fiber trim.

I like the sporty white TTS. Stay with the white instrument dials. All Black leather interior, with GT Silver deviated stitching with the GT Silver Seat belts. Porsche Crest in the head rest. It's not that expensive of an option that can only be added now, with possibly
a Porsche Crest on the center lid. You can go on Rennline and add the aluminum pedal set which gives a nice touch and get custom made Lloyd mats to your choice from Suncoast Porsche. Finish it off with leather sun visors and your all set.
Remember it's your car. These are just suggestions. The only thing I will be a little more forward on are the red seat belts. They just aren't working.

Get it, spec it, and buy it because you enjoy it. Expect nothing more.
