991.1 turbo tune preference

Hi guys, first time posting.

Looking at tuning my 991.1 turbo. I live in Australia and the two big names here are Cobb and MC CHIP DQR.

I’m only looking at stage one possibly stage two

Has anyone here tuned with either of these any information from you guys is much appreciated.
Thanks

Oredered my Cobb AP today, I have used them on (3) P cars now and many other makes previously with great results. I can say that a Protune would be a worthwile option. I plan to use Promotive to do my custom tune but I have used TPC in the past also.

Hey, welcome to Rennlist!

If you're considering an exhaust as well, we can get you setup with our full Competition X-Pipe Exhaust System and a COBB Accessport - complete with a map that was developed specifically for our system.

Testing was performed on a Mustang Dyno at R/T Tuning. Baseline power with our Competition X-Pipe Exhaust System was 542 whp and 629 ft-lbs of torque. A COBB Accessport base map pushed power to 581 whp and 733 ft-lbs of torque. Finally a custom Protune pushed peak power to 606 whp and 749 ft-lbs of torque!

The COBB Accessport will allow you to tune the car yourself in the comfort of your own driveway, it's super straight-forward and only takes a few minutes. Very easy to go back to stock if you need to.

If you decide to go the route of a ProTune, that will take the car to the next level beyond the provided OTS maps. Highly recommended!

Here are some map notes in regards to the power gains and what to expect, don't forget we have PDK tuning as well :)

I have installed the tune from mcchip-dkr.
Best software there is. It was pushing around 650hp, with decat iPE exhaust and BMC air filter.

Plus, it is possible to install it by OBD.

Let me know if you want to put in tocuh with somebody from Germany.

Wondering if you received any installed your Cobb. Had Cobb on a previous NA Porsche and an EPL tune on a previous 997 TT.
have Europipe installed so it would be a stage 2 install. Would like to know your impressions, pluses, and did you do the PDK Upgrade and what your thoughts are.

Custom tune from ES Motors on the cobb AP is fantastic from what a lot of my friends have.

I did a GIAC tune and otherwise stock car with 900 miles on the odometer did mid-6 60-130's on pump 91 octane gas and a couple gallons of e85 a couple years ago and don't think that's ever been replicated. Drivability just like a stock car until u romp on it. Plus it comes with an umbrella warranty if you buy it from Champion Motorsports. No one else on earth will back you up like this.
