I'm in El Paso so the dust situation is similar. I wouldn't worry. Mine squeal occasionally but it is really not that loud and it is not constant enough to be annoying. I've noticed that it also goes away after a wash.

Anymore to add to this topic?? I'm considering PCCB's on my next purchase and just want to make the right call. Hate squeal noises but Hate brake dust as well. Love Resale values, so pccb seems to be an option that brings the buyers and money.

Mine squeals regularly at very low speeds hot or cold. 5K miles on the car with no track use.

Do PCCB's get worse with Squeal over time (higher mileage) or do they just stay consistent until pads need replaced?

Average life span of Pads for "normal" street use? (no track).

My 991.1 TTS PCCB’s are as quiet as can be and have never ever squealed, now over 9k miles. My 991.2 GT3 with PCCB’s always squeal until I brake more aggressively as others have said. Has to be made from different ceramic composites. That said, would still order again for all the same reasons others have stated!

I have a bit of squeal on occasion at low speed stops, ( 20K miles ) but after a wash it goes away . This is my first P car with Ceramics and going forward they will be my brakes of choice.

I daily drive my 997 with PCCBs and I have to say the squeal is fairly consistent and pretty embarrassing at stop lights. It's the gentle rolling brake that squeals - hard braking is silent. I'm also getting two squeal sounds - one is a medium-high frequency tone - a pitch you could actually whistle - that's quite loud. But then occasionally also a high pitched screech (too high to whistle) that's quieter. Is that normal? (Might be the pads wearing thin? I'll have to check...)

Edit: it sounds like i'm complaining (which i am), but the benefits still outweigh this nuisance (sparkling clean wheels, massive stopping power, and long-lasting rotors).

Traded my 991.2TTS for a 991.2 GT3 Touring. Only did this because my kids got too big for the backseats and our 2019 G63 is taking over for Daddy duty. Anyway, I only have 600 miles on the GT3 but it squeals A LOT more than it did on the Turbo S even at the 18k mile mark.
