If not Turbo then what?

I have a 2014 AMG E63S - a very nice car, especially with the 5.5 L Twin turbocharged Engine with huge Torque even at usual Traffic speeds, but new ones have gone down to 4 Liters and I doubt they would have the same very low RPM
Torque (1,100 - 1,500 RPM) response with 1/3 cut in displacement even if HP at higher RPM eventually gets there.
BUT, and its a big one, my 2010 Panamera S is FAR more fun to drive comparing 2 recent 4,000 Mile drives in both cars.
The fact is my 2010 Panny is as much fun to drive as my '15 TTS - and its got those 4 Seats you need. Also, the 400 HP Torquey N/A V8 gives up very little in high speed acceleration to the E63S's 577 TT. IMHO, nothing drives like a Porsche except another Porsche, and NO, I don't work for them. At least try a Panamera before deciding.

Now the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid ... that might be a different story.

Life is too short to drive a people hauler. I try to make every experience I have more pleasant. I will use Cayenne (or E63S wagon) for long journeys, but taking the family to a restaurant or driving my daughters to cars and coffee (they like it much more than I do) is better done in a car that we all enjoy.

Porsche made me happy on all counts (huge kudos to them), or at least is in the process of doing so, so instead of going with a different brand, I'm putting a deposit on 2019 Cayenne Turbo. Don't want to go into details, but engine replacement on my GT3 was the smaller issue, and their initial scrutiny/reluctance got me all worried.
Anyway, I could not find a better option than Turbo S. But my frontrunner was Portofino - it's a stunner and from early indications, the performance should be there as well.
