I guess this thread has become as good a testament as any to why Porsche makes the 911 in different colors!

Congrats. How about black lettering in the back also? Makes it look so much cleaner.

Im going to rip the lettering off when i get it.
Ditched the carbon fibre steering wheel I oringiall ordered - my buddie has it it looks cool but actually doesn't feel that great and nothing else is CF looks out of place.

Ditched the logo on seats - want the interior as "clean" as possible. Got nothing inside except LCA and the free stuff

You might look into the ceramic coating options and paint correction. It's a $5k wax job but keeps the car looking clean longer and with paint correction would make the black just stunning. Zero resale though.

Details and options are fun but the car will be great regardless of which bit is what color - you'll be very happy with it! And when you can't decide between options you'll probably be happy with any of them.

Nice video. Also ceramic coating does very little for rock chips - you'd still want to consider paint protection film.

With a black car and a 3-5 year planned ownership term, ceramic coating after a paint correction plus paint protective film on the front end would have the color looking just incredible and minimize the weekly maintenance. As said above and as seen when you ask for estimates, nothing comes for free!

Did a full random orbit paint correction myself after new purchase, then had PPF installed on front clip + lights.
Maintain with periodic AIO (All in one - in my case Griots Finishing Sealant) , quick detail spray and/or spray wax as needed.

Seldom use hose & wash mitt anymore.

Ive owned a large body shop for 40 years...
We repair tons of high end Vehicles.

This Ceramic coating is basically a glorified polish IMO and the clear Film looks terrible over the years. Ive had it installed on my brothers Ferrari 430 and my Z06. Removed it from my Z06.

For the cost of the Paint protection I would rather paint the bumper if needed.

If I owned a high end body shop, I wouldn't even bother with the paint protection either.

Yeah, that makes sense!! Have them take care of it - no need to protect anything!

ha. I mean Im hoping not to have to paint anything but honestly for the price of the kit and the ceramic coating and all that stuff Its no biggie to zip off the bumper and paint it lol.

This is such a great forum though Im glad I joined here!

FYI, I got paint correction, PPF to the firewall and along the rockers, and CQuartz Pro for ~2.5k by one of the top-rated shops in our area (pic above shot by said shop.)

So, $5k better include a $h1+-ton more than what I got.

To each his own on PPF. But, the CQuartz works. I've washed DDG with water twice in two years (just before winter sleep.) The rest of the time it's quick detailing spray and MF towels. Still looks perfect everywhere.
