Ladies & Gents,
The long wait is almost over. Any minute this release will be announced. I got to do some early beta testing and tinkering last week because we have built some crazy 4.0L X51 981s that needed the Cobb update to address clutch pressures, etc. I had the owner of that car drive his Boxster S with the same Cobb update and he was blown away by the difference in the shifting. The shifts are sharper and RPM limits are raised but most importantly that laziness from a dead stop is gone. The 997/987 cars are also slated to get this update but it's not ready yet for release; it's coming and not far behind.
We've been working on our 991.1 Turbo flashes and the PDK flashes in an attempt to do more 991.1 Turbo work. I still don't have a back to back of the 991.2 Turbo we did with our own ECU solution, headers, cats, mufflers & IPD; all i have is a baseline with upgrades that in the heat of summer running 91 octane in 97F outdoor temps produced 550rwhp, this is all with simply just bolt-ons. I'm trying to have a 3rd party dyno do the analysis but they've been backed up for weeks but i want to use them because they probably have the nicest dyno facility in our area. Boosted TTS, do you know of anyone closer?
If anyone is interested in this Cobb update for their 991.1, please call the shop and ask for either Wray or myself for pricing.
John

Hi John,
Justin at RS1 and Sam at By Design have also been beta testing, I have heard a lot of good stuff about the PDK update...can't wait to get to installed! BTW, word to the wise it takes a little longer to install the PDK update to the car, CONNECT A BATTERY TENDER/CHARGER!!!
No, that is the only one that I know that will work for the Porsche AWD system.
Regards,
Manuel
