AMG GTR looks hideous to me and will not going to hold its value, so the obvious choice would be a GT3. Let's be honest, the GTR is probably going to be faster than a GT3 on the track but so is a Viper ACR. Who gives a sh*t, just buy what you like... Why would you care what others think? It's a Porsche forum, what do you think the response would be????

Depends on how you want to use it - I had a look at the GT S and on the one hand the cabin is certainly a nice place to be - on the other the forward and rearward visibility was relatively poor.
To be honest the GT R and GT3 will be great on track - its more a case of what you prefer to drive and the feel it imparts. Also, from a practical point of view as a club track car, Porsche seem to be very hard to beat - not so much round the track, but more in terms of the bullet proof reliability stakes (a relative concept I know )
There is no question in regard to the AMG GT Rs credentials. It will be a blast if thats your thing.

I did AMG school at road Atlanta 2 weeks ago , and they had GTR there , it looked real good and sounded like a beast
we drove GTS on track and it impressed me more than what I thought it would
my friend has a GTS that I drive occasionally, and I'll be honest , the more I drive it , the more I like it

I keep getting the run around from Mercedes Benz and I was going to buy both, but said F it and just went with the GT3.2. First they say they have no allocations, then they say they can get me one next year. I'm over Mercedes Benz. The GT3.2 is a stronger car IMO also. I would usually pick a V8 over a 6 cylinder, but I just don't think you can beat the flat 6 of the Porsche. I went ahead and switched my GTR order to a Performante Spider, and I'm super happy with my choice.

I find that hard to believe for the AMG GTR, the other amgs yes that is normal.
I have both coming soon.
If I had to choose it would be the GTR and a .2 RS. The .2GT3 will be better than my .1 GT3, but it is not the mystical unicorn everyone on RL is portraying it to be.
The GTR looks better than the .2 GT3 in my opinion (have seen both in person).
