1. Make sure I get there early, so everyone can drool over my car, and stroke my ego.
2. Have a few good songs picked out, because that drivers briefing is BORING!
3. Warm up laps are for pussies. Just flog in on the first turn.
4. Open lapping is essentially racing. Show no mercy.
5. Oh yeah, bring a quart of oil.
Don't forget to bring your dog. If you don't have a dog, you can take my Wheaten. She's a good copilot - woof -

To expand #4, since it's basically racing you must win your DE at all costs, if not for the prize money, simply for the adoration of your fellow drivers!

Back in the 997 GT3 days there was a clear distinction between Rennlist and 6Speedonline. Driving and tracking threads outnumbered value and color threads 2:1 on Rennlist. Meanwhile if a driving/tracking thread was posted on 6Speed it was usually met with crickets. But they sure did like their color threads.

Seems like with the advent of the automatic GT3 a lot of 6Speedonline folks have migrated over to Rennlist . Guess that's what they call progress. Look at it this way, they'll be a lot more low-mile used GT3's floating around for those that want to track and didn't get in on the first go round.

I've been thinking the same, a mint 991.1gt3 with a G engine might be the perfect car to start modding as a track toy.
Need some DE 🏆.

LOL. I remember those days! So true.

And then L4P came out and it just became "CARS AND WATCHES" and other threads like that.
