GT3 Dealer Allocation Thread

this whole engine emissions rumor just doesn't make sense.. they won't just stop making them for Europe but keeping making them for the USA and other countries. And if I remember correctly, the same "we've already given out all allocations" schtick happened with gt3.1. Prices coming down to msrp or close.. i think patience is due for all those who didn't get their spot yet, it will come.

This thread continues to repeat itself with each new gt3. Its amazing how nobody remembers.

Problem is, a number of MSRP dealers have confirmed that PCNA told them not to expect anymore allocations. While I expect they’ll keep building, it’s simply not true that the source of the rumor was the ADM dealer crowd.

PCNA doesn't build the cars, they are just PAG's customer and PAG puts them on a need-to-know basis. They are probably conservative in saying not to expect more allocations in case they don't get anymore, but the only ones that know if more cars are coming is the mothership. If anyone here is so sure that they'll stop building GT cars by 12/31/18 due to some emissions talk should bet me (it's for a good cause anyhow). A lot of people talk, I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is.

I think GT3 is done as of 12/18. I hope not, but they have other stuff to build: GT2RS, 991.2 GT3RS, GT4/Spyder.
I mean if they can sell an RS, why sell a GT3?
The question in my mind which I think is the biggest determinate is the start of 992 production. Hopefully that will drive sales of normal 911 at least for a while (maybe not in the US if the 718 is any measure ...). Rumor mill is big power increases for the 992 which to me says Porsche thinks that is the only way to get people to buy 3.0 liter turbo 911.

Bet is this...if Porsche builds GT3s into calendar year 2019. If no GT3s are built in 2019, you win...if they are built in 2019, I win. Winner selects charity that loser will make a donation to on behalf of the winner.

Point is, the rumor wasn't started by ADM dealers. It came from PCNA, as confirmed by multiple good guy dealers. Who knows how many they'll build. But the hysteria wasn't manufactured by the ADM dealers.

True, the hysteria came from the RL peanut gallery and many dealers are trying to take advantage of that. Porsche showed you their card with the .1RS that they'll keep pumping out cars if there is demand longer than people think...why? Sales/Profits.
